I recently had a part-time assignment during a 3 month period. Working 2-3 days a week at a corporation with a HUGE web installation – now that was a great assignment!
Tasks:
Planning and implementing Patch management for corporate workstations with WSUS. Including full documentation and operational procedures.
Creating design proposal and Operational procedures for patch management in the server environment (+250 servers in several segments and locations).
Planning and implementing a file replication service, facilitating developers on a number of huge websites in the corporation. Including full documentation and end-user manuals.
During my assignment, I was frequently “filling vacancies” among the permanent staff, performing various server related tasks.
